TITLE : Head Chef

DUTIES : Direct kitchen operations; Maintain control of the kitchen; Ensure that all kitchen and wait staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations; Plan menus and set prices; Inspect raw and cooked food items; Collaborate with the Operations Manager and align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment; Manage vendors and ensure the payments are made regularly; Maintain kitchen equipment; Hire kitchen staff; Analyzing food costs and constantly working on different methods and processes to reduce the same; Monitor and control stock levels and inventory for the kitchen; Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen that follow the guidelines laid by local health department; Rostering for all the kitchen staff and ensuring that they are aware of their job responsibilities and trained accordingly; Ensure that traditional authentic Indian menu items are prepared with the same quality and taste provided by the brand in India. Production and supply of any Indian Sweets/Pastries to all the branches on a regular basis and satisfy any bulk orders as well. Train the team on traditional Indian menu and Indian Pastries and recommend any changes to the machinery for its production. Design the Food Production flow based on the Indian Vegetarian Cuisine. Monitor and suggest any scope for automation in the food or pastries production process to eliminate delay in the process and to produce with a quicker turnaround time. Represent the brand in trade shows and exhibitions to ensure the food and pastries are cooked and displayed appropriately.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or Catering or equivalent with at least two years ofexperience as a Chef or four years of experience as a Chef and familiarity with cooking Indian vegetarian cuisine.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager and align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment.
  • Manage vendors and ensure the payments are made regularly; Maintain kitchen equipment; Hire kitchen staff.
  • Analyzing food costs and constantly working on different methods and processes to reduce the same.

REQUIREMENTS:    Require Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or Catering or equivalent with at least two years of experience as a Chef or four years of experience as a Chef and measurable experience cooking Indian sweets and pastries.
